Emma has over 25 years of experience working in aged, health and social services, including developing and implementing regulatory strategy and policy, program implementation and service delivery.
With over 10 years in senior roles in the Australian Public Service, including in the Department of Health and Aged Care and Department of Social Services, she joined the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in 2019.
Emma has expertise in organisational redesign, capability building, and change management and has a strong interest in modernising regulation for better outcomes for older people and the wider community. Within the Commission she has led the development of new approaches in intelligence and data analytics, sector performance and campaigns, and the Commission’s regulatory risk management framework.
Emma started her career in disability support services and consumer advocacy and holds a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) from the University of New South Wales.
